Wellington Free Ambulance has partnered with Umbrella to provide a number of services. Umbrella has provided resilience training and training in coping with vicarious trauma to frontline staff, as well as ongoing consultation with service managers and the peer support Governance group.
Umbrella also recently undertook a specific project investigating how WFA can enhance its selection process for call centre staff using psychological wellbeing assessment measures. This has involved examining the existing process, conducting a literature review on best practice, piloting a selection of psychometric measures and recommending specific behavioural interview questions.
The new measures will now become part of the WFA selection and recruitment process.
“Gaynor and the team at Umbrella worked in partnership with us to deliver tailored solutions that met our unique needs. We look forward to our continued relationship with Umbrella and their assistance in helping to build the resilience of our people which enables them to deliver world class paramedic care to the people of greater Wellington.”
